Check-in that keeps the queue short

The guest shows the QR code from their confirmation email, the team scans with whatever device is at hand. Several entrances, a terminal for self check-in, and one number that keeps counting live.

Ticket in the guest app: QR code, guest name, ticket identifier and the button “Check in at the room”

In detail

What this area can do today; every item exists in the product and is included in the free Community edition.

  • QR code in the confirmation email, scanned with the camera of a signed-in device or the staff app
  • Rotating signature: a photographed code from an old email is rejected
  • Several entrances as separate gates with their own count and live throughput
  • Kiosk mode with a reduced interface for devices that sit at the reception desk
  • Manual check-in via search for guests without a code
  • Check-in sets the status “Attended” and can trigger actions, such as a welcome email
  • Badge printing right at check-in
  • Room check-in: guests scan the code at the room, attendance per session is recorded
  • Control room with live room occupancy for the event day

Every device is a scanner

A tablet, a phone, a laptop with a camera: whatever is signed in to the dashboard can scan. The staff app does the same on the team’s own devices. No extra hardware needed.

Rotating signature

The QR code carries a signature that renews regularly. A forwarded screenshot expires. Nothing changes for the guest: they open the current email.

Several entrances, one number

Each entrance is its own gate with its own count. The cockpit shows throughput per gate and the total, so you see where the queue is forming before it gets long.

Those involved take part. Without an account.

Whoever contributes to this area from outside gets a personal link instead of an account someone has to manage.

Reception

Self-service terminal where guests check themselves in.

Stand staff

Their own scanner link for leads, without access to the stand profile.

Frequently asked questions about Check-in and admission

Do we need scanner hardware for check-in?
No. Scanning uses the camera of a device signed in to the dashboard, or the staff app. A tablet or phone is enough.
What if a guest cannot find their QR code?
The team looks them up by name or company and checks them in manually. The status “Attended” is set exactly as with a scan.
Can guests check themselves in?
Yes. Kiosk mode shows a reduced interface for a device that sits at the reception desk: scan the code, done.
Why is a QR code rejected?
The code’s signature has expired, typically with a photographed code from an old email. The guest opens the current confirmation email, or the team checks them in manually.
